Mission Statement

Partner with God and parents to disciple and educate thousands of children that fully embrace their God given purposes and display God's glory in every sphere of society.

Vision Statement

Develop a culture that builds kingdom leaders who know Jesus, know who they are, and are excellently educated so that they can fulfill their God given purposes and transform our world.

Statement of Faith

  • We believe the Bible is inspired and empowered by God, infallible, and authoritative. (Hebrews 4:12)

  • We believe in one eternal God who exists as three separate persons: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19)

  • We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the first begotten Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, was born of the Virgin Mary, was crucified and died, was buried and resurrected, ascended into heaven, is now seated at the right hand of God the Father, and is both true God and true man. (Ephesians 1:20)

  • We believe it is essential for man to repent of sin and by faith, receive the finished work of Christ by confessing Him as Lord with his mouth and believing in his heart, resulting in regeneration by the Holy Spirit. (Acts 19:4-5)

  • We believe the Holy Spirit is continuing the work He started at Pentecost, empowering believers to live a godly life and continue in all the works of Jesus. (Acts 1:8)

  • We believe in the imminent return of Jesus and that those who have believed in Him will be resurrected to a heavenly dwelling in an incorruptible body,

  • and those who do not believe will join Satan and his host in everlasting punishment. (1 Corinthians 15:12-28)

  • We believe the true Church is composed of all born-again believers in Christ, regardless of denominational affiliation. (1 Corinthians 12:27)

  • We believe all born-again believers have been commissioned to share the complete Gospel to all the world. (Mark 16:15)

  • We believe in divine healing through faith in the Name of Jesus Christ, and we believe that healing is included in the Redemption. (Acts 3:16)

  • We believe in water baptism, in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit as distinct from the New Birth, in speaking with tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance, in the gifts of the Spirit, and in the evidence of the fruit of the Spirit. We believe that all of these are available to believers. (Acts 2:4, 1 Corinthians 12)

  • We believe God created only two sexes—male and female (Genesis 1:27).

Our Core Values

The Word

Above all, we value Jesus, the Word made flesh and the written word of God. We believe that we come most alive when we live with God and that we find freedom and fullness of life under his authority. It is our joy to submit to Jesus Christ and His Word.

Excellence

We are committed to excellence in every area of our lives. This excellence is wholly separate from perfectionism which brings shame when we fall short. Excellence is the heart posture by which we choose to become more like Christ one day at a time.

Community

We believe each of us has been created in the image of God and that because each person represents aspects of His nature and character, we are always better together. We are committed to serving each other and putting others' needs above our own for the sake of encountering and revealing more of God’s nature on earth.

Honor

We desire to develop a culture of honor in which we each honor God above all, esteem others as greater than ourselves and humbly offer our talents, skills and love in service of one another. We know that when we honor Jesus and one another well, our environment will be the most joyful, peaceful and loving that it can be.

University Model

Movement Christian Academy is a University-Model® school (UMS) that takes the best attributes of home schooling and combines them with the best attributes of a traditional Christian education. In doing so, MCA preserves and maintains the God-ordained family relationship, while offering students the opportunity to achieve a high degree of academic excellence.

● The academic program utilizes a university-style schedule adapted to all class levels. Professional teachers instruct in their areas of expertise, in what is referred to as the central classroom. Students attend classes on two days of the week. Students spend alternate days at home, where parents, the co- teachers, continue their instruction in the satellite classroom. Teachers provide parents with detailed instructions for days spent at home in the satellite classroom.

● Character development permeates both the academic and co-curricular programs, as MCA works with the parents to reinforce Christ-like character by helping to encourage, support, and train parents; by reinforcing parental values and expectations while at school; and by enforcing school behavior and discipline policies based on shared core values.

Philosophy of Education

Embracing a Christian worldview, with God and His Word as our foundation for truth, we strive to cultivate a love for learning that is rooted in God's love for us and His desire for us to fulfill our calling.

We believe this can be achieved by creating a caring and supportive learning environment that fosters strong relationships between children, God, and educators. Through play-based and interactive learning, children are encouraged to explore their interests, be creative and imaginative, and build their independence. We stay grounded in routines that provide structure and stability, while also allowing for flexibility and creativity. We aim to make learning enjoyable and engaging as we adapt activities to suit each child's unique learning style. We believe language is an essential tool for cognitive development, as it allows individuals to communicate, think, and process information in more complex ways, leading to improved problem-solving abilities, enhanced social interactions, and a better understanding of the world around them. By instilling a passion for learning that is ingrained in faith, we aspire to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and character to fulfill their God-given potential.

Nondiscriminatory Policy

Movement Christian Academy admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
